Dick Van Dyke revealed as Gnome on The Masked Singer
Dick Van Dyke, 97, has reunited with his Mary Poppins co-star, Karen Dotrice, who portrayed Jane Banks in the classic Disney film.
Karen, now 68, portrayed one of the children looked after by Julie Andrews’ magical nanny alongside Matthew Garber as Jane’s brother Michael.
In a post on his personal Instagram account, award-winning actor Dick grinned from ear to ear as he spent time with Karen and his personal photographer, Laura Johansen.
“We are loving this Mary Poppins reunion!” the caption reads.
“Bert, Jane Banks, and Laura Johansen, the amazing photographer to them both!

“Thank you for joining us yesterday @karendotrice!” he signed off.
The acclaimed actor met up with his Mary Poppins co-star nearly 60 years after the original film was released.
In 2018’s long-awaited sequel, Mary Poppins Returns, he made a cameo as Mr Dawes Jr opposite lead stars Emily Blunt and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
Last week, US network CBS confirmed that it would be honouring Dick’s decades-long career with a new special, Dick Van Dyke 98 Years of Magic.

The TV event will air on December 21, just a week after his 98th birthday on December 13.
In a statement, the acclaimed actor said: “I started with CBS under contract in 1955 with the CBS morning show, then The Dick Van Dyke Show and Diagnosis Murder.
“I’ve been with the CBS family for almost 70 years, and I couldn’t be prouder.
“I’m incredibly honoured that CBS will be throwing a 98th birthday special for me. Can’t wait to be part of the show!”

CBS’s tribute will revive the set of The Dick Van Dyke Show with “music and dance, performances, special guests and a special holiday number”, per Deadline.
It will also feature a retrospective on his career on the big and small screen with archive footage from the likes of Mary Poppins, Bye Bye Birdie, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and more.
Mary Poppins is streaming on Disney+.
