Holly Willoughby in rare PDA with husband Dan as she pens sweet message
Holly Willoughby usually remains tight-lipped about her life away from the This Morning sofa, but the star appeared to ditch her privacy rule to declare her love for husband Dan Baldwin on his birthday.
The presenter – who is fiercely protective of her family and hides her children's faces in online posts – took to Instagram on Tuesday 3 October to share a sweet throwback snap of her kissing her husband of 16 years on the cheek. She captioned the romantic post, "Happy birthday to my love."
The cute picture was taken at Italy's Lucca Summer Festival, and the loved-up couple can be seen posing in front of the stage as Holly packed on the PDA alongside her beaming husband.
The couple's famous friends were quick to flood the comments with their birthday wishes for Dan, 48. Football coach John Terry wrote: "Happy birthday Dan," while actor Will Mellor echoed his message.
TV chef Clodagh McKenna added: "Happy birthday Dan. Hope you 2 love birds have a gorgeous evening."
Meanwhile, Holly's sister, Kelly, wrote: "Ahhhhhhh happy birthday to my favourite ever brother in law."
Holly, who was allegedly asked not to wear a bra on kids' TV at the start of her career, and Dan first met while working together on CITV programme Ministry Of Mayhem in 2004. Dan was a producer on the show, while Holly co-hosted alongside Stephen Mulhern.
The couple dated for three years before tying the knot during a star-studded ceremony in West Sussex. Holly's former Celebrity Juice co-star Fearne Cotton was a bridesmaid, while fellow presenter Dermot O'Leary acted as one of good pal Dan's ushers on the day.
The pair are now doting parents to three children – Harry, 13, Belle, 11, and seven-year-old Chester.
The 42 year old's post came just after their family revealed their heartbreak after suffering the loss of Holly's uncle, Ray.
Holly's sister, Kelly, paid tribute to Ray on Instagram on Sunday 1 October. Captioning a picture of Ray smiling at the camera in a black suit and blue tie, she wrote, "Sleep deep Uncle Ray. We are heartbroken to say goodbye so soon. Thank you for all the love and the laughs.
"The kids will forever remember you turning up, taking your hat off and watching with glee as packets of Haribo dropped to the floor. We will miss you so much."
Condolences quickly piled up beneath the post, with one person writing, "So sorry for your family loss."
Mum-of-three Holly responded to the post with a broken heart emoji.
