Last weekend, 20-year-old Bobby admitted he was “emotional” and yearning to give Dianne “a big cuddle” on the night.
“It has been so, so emotional all week but closing the show is a great privilege,” he told host Claudia Winkleman during his interview.
“Before, I was trying to get in the zone and I was bringing all these emotions up and I just wanted to give her a big cuddle.”
Dianne reassured him she understood the challenges he faced, empathising: “It was really difficult, I pushed you musically, it is not easy to hear and you worked so hard to hear the music.”

The Aussie pro added: “[Bobby] has just been a massive rock this week so thank you!”
One Twitter (X) follower agonised: “I hope no issues with Dianne… This show does really test relationships.”
Meanwhile, others expressed concern last week over the differing heights of the duo, with Bobby towering almost an entire foot above his partner.
Some fans suggested Bobby had been struggling as he was forced to bend his knees to share some of the moves with her.
However, it looks as if the pair have bonded well behind the scenes – and earlier this month, Bobby confessed he’d “fallen in love” with his dance partner, before adding that she was like a “sister” to him.
Speaking at the Pride of Britain Awards, as reported by Mail Online, he gushed: “I could speak about Dianne all day. She’s just a diamond. You know what, I’m falling in love with her… I feel very lucky.”
He admitted he hadn’t been a perfectionist when it came to training sessions, mischievously explaining: “I’ve been taking as many breaks as possible, I’ve been napping as much as possible. Necessary digestive periods, I call it!”
However, he and Dianne have become firm friends nevertheless – and both have been receiving glowing praise from some viewers, with one Instagrammer, @em.higgins22, exclaiming of Bobby: “He needs to be cast as a young Mick Jagger in the Rolling Stones film!”
