Kim Kardashian in dramatic hair transformation as she debuts baby bangs

Kim Kardashian took her brand-new baby bangs out for a spin in Los Angeles on Saturday evening.

Attending the annual charity party for This Is About Humanity – which boasts the mantra of creating "a community of allies and advocates dedicated to raising awareness about separated and reunified families and children at the American – Mexican border" – the 42 year old mum-of-four's hourglass shape stole the red carpet limelight as she posed for photographers.

Debuting the fashion forward short fringe, Kim looked stunning as always, teaming her new tresses with an all black ensemble and thick gold jewellery.

It was Keeping Up with the Kardashians all the way as 'momager' Kris Jenner stopped by the bash as well, with her long-term partner Corey Gamble.

The likes of Desperate Housewives actress Eva Longoria, Fast & Furious star Jordana Brewster, Barry's Henry Winkler and Amazon boss Jeff Bezos added further pizzazz to the occasion.

Hair transformations are a regular occurrence for the media personality, and last year Kim confessed that she'd spent a whopping 14 hours trying to get the exact shade of blond worn by Marilyn Monroe.

This coincided with the opportunity to wear the late movie icon's famous bejewelled Jean Louis gown – fitted with 6,000 hand-sewn crystals – from her Happy Birthday, Mr. President performance in 1962.

The piece was won at auction for the not-so-inconsiderable sum of $5 million back in 2016, with Kim later telling Vogue: "I had this idea to try it on and then they came with armed guards and gloves.

"I always thought she was extremely curvy, I imagined I might be smaller in some places where she was bigger and bigger in places where she was smaller. So, when it didn’t fit me, I wanted to cry because it can’t be altered at all."

This paved the way for a controversially extreme dieting and exercise regime.

"I tried it on and it didn’t fit me. I said, 'Give me three weeks.' I had to lose 16 pounds," she said, before informing Allure Magazine: "If I was starving and doing it really unhealthy, I would say that, of course, that’s not a good message… But I had a nutritionist, I had a trainer. I have never drunk more water in my life."

Back in January, hair extension specialist Andrew Thomas weighed in on a TikTok showing off the reality TV star's stragglier natural hair.

"We’ve all seen this photo of Kim K’s natural hair, properly washed and natural. I actually really like this photo and I think it’s important people do see it because it’s the reality of bleaching your hair. You can use the most amazing products – and Kim has spoken about these products that she uses – but they can only go so far," he argued.

"When bleaching, colouring and styling all the time, it does take its toll on the hair, and this is the perfect reality of it. Even with endless amounts of money, it does happen. This isn’t me harping on about ‘the transformation’.

"What they [Kim and her colourist] did in the timeframe is amazing, but I like this photo because it is the reality. This is what a normal person’s hair looks like when you bleach it. Hair breaks; it's fragile. You can't just miraculously fix it."
