Taylor Swift & Travis are still just getting to know each other, nothing too serious

As a long-time Taylor Swift watcher, I’m enjoying Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship so far. It really does remind me of Tiddles, and the Worldwide Tiddlebanging Tour of 2016. Taylor and Tom Hiddleston were suddenly ubiquitous and THE gossip story, and there was a similarly performative energy around their relationship too. Also similar: Travis seems all-in with Taylor very quickly, and he’s pursuing her and actively participating, which is what Tom Hiddleston was like too. I sometimes wonder if that’s a turn-off for Taylor though – in years past, she seems to like to chase, or she appreciates some reticence and game-playing with men. Speaking of:

It remains early days for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. The “Lavender Haze” singer, 33, and the Kansas City Chiefs star, 33, are “still just getting to know each other,” a source tells PEOPLE. “It’s nothing too serious.”

An insider adds that the pair haven’t yet defined their relationship, saying, “He is a charming guy. It’s more of a hanging out situation than dating.”

Though Kelce is spending time with Swift, “he’s focusing on football like he always has,” the source says. “During the NFL season, his priority is the Chiefs, and it’s all about the team.”

“There’s no pressure,” the source previously told PEOPLE.

I mean… Travis spent the night with Taylor before his big game on Sunday. The NFL is practically begging Taylor to come to every Chiefs game. Travis devoted his most recent podcast to talking about Taylor and answering Swifties’ questions about football. He’s all-in. This is the equivalent of Taylor saying “slow your roll, I was just looking for something fun in-between my tour schedule.” But hey, we’re not talking about Matt Healy now, are we? Taylor’s mind.
