5 stunning UK outdoor pools that look like they're abroad – perfect for heatwave weather | The Sun

TEMPERATURES are set to hit 30C this week as the heatwave spreads across the UK.

The best way to cool off is by swimming in one of the many UK lidos in the UK – here are the top 5 that look like they could be abroad.

1. Jubilee Pool, Penzance

Jubilee Pool in Penzance could be something from Australia, with the pool overlooking the ocean.

The Art Deco lido is a saltwater tidal pool which first opened in 1935.

While the main pools are not heated, there is a geothermal pool which is heated to 30-35 degrees.

Guests can buy one-hour tickets and take advantage of the on-site cafe.

2. Gara Rock, Salcombe

Gara Rock Hotel has a huge outdoor swimming pool which couldn't look out of place on a holiday in Spain.

Overlooking the ocean, there are also deck chairs and loungers to choose from.

It's even heated and you can order cocktails to the pool.

You'll need to be a guest of the hotel or locals can pay for a hotel day pass to access the pool.

3. Tinside Lido, Plymouth

Another Art Deco lido in the UK is Tinside Lido in Plymouth, which is even Grade-II listed.

The outdoor saltwater pool isn't heated but you can warm up on the sun deck overlooking the water.

You can buy access tickets online and enjoy snacks at the lido's cafe.

4. Bude Sea Pool, Bude

The best thing about Bude Sea Pool is that it's free for anyone to use.

The tidal pool dates back to the 1930s, with views of the Atlantic Ocean.

It's not heated, and it's encouraged to donate as it's run by volunteers.

You can even rent beach huts at the sea pool, with deck chairs included.

5. Cleveland Pools, Bath

Cleveland Pools in Bath is yet to reopen – but has been transformed following a 20-year campaign.

Opening on September 10, it is the oldest lido as it was originally built in 1815 but closed back in 1984.
