Arsenal legend Martin Keown slams Man Utd for making Harry Maguire a ‘scapegoat’ and points finger at club’s real issue | The Sun
MARTIN KEOWN has slammed Manchester United for scapegoating Harry Maguire.
The Arsenal legend has claimed that the real issue with the team is in the midfield rather than the England international.
Maguire, 30, has been in and out of the Man United team under manager Erik ten Hag.
The defender has only featured in the defeat to Arsenal this season as he came on as a second-half substitute.
Even with the absence of Maguire, the Red Devils have struggled to show their best form this season.
The club is currently 11th in the Premier League table with two wins from four games.

Keown does not believe that Maguire is the issue at the club and actually sees the midfield as the problem.
He told talkSPORT: "I do feel he [Maguire] gets a lot of unfair criticism.
"I do feel he's a scapegoat for the Manchester United supporters.
"I do feel that things have not got much better since he has come out of the team.

"Talking about driving buses through teams, and I think you could do that at Manchester United at the moment.
"It is really the midfield that is the issue and Harry Maguire is not necessarily the problem."
Throughout games this season, United's midfield has been broken through and has been a key weakness.
In the game against Wolves, the Red Devils were lucky to come away with a point as their opponents continued to break through with quick counter-attacks.
United spent £60million on Mason Mount and signed Sofyan Amrabat on loan from Fiorentina this summer.
However, Mount has picked up an injury and looked unconvincing when on the pitch.
While Amrabat is yet to make an appearance as he arrived on deadline day to add some steel to the team's midfield.
Despite barely playing this season, Maguire has still been called up by Gareth Southgate for England.
