Chelsea fans moan Premier League rival 'stole our badge and our top six place' after disastrous weekend | The Sun
CHELSEA fans have claimed that Aston Villa have stolen both their badge and their place in the top six.
The Blues had a torrid weekend after they were blown away by Newcastle at St James' Park in a 4-1 defeat that saw captain Reece James dismissed.
Mauricio Pochettino's side are currently languishing in mid-table as they try and return to their form of years past.
But their money-fuelled side is still struggling to get results with just four league wins from 13 matches this season.
Meanwhile Aston Villa might have wriggled their way into a title race with the Villans winning 2-1 against Tottenham on Sunday.
The three points catapulted Unai Emery's side into fourth place in the table, just two points off league leaders Arsenal.

And Chelsea fans are fuming that Villa have taken up their vacant spot in the big six with the London club a regular feature in the European places over the last 15 years.
But it's not just their place in the table that Blues fans think Villa have stolen, but their club crest too.
Both sides sport a remarkably similar badge that features a lion inside of a circle facing sideways.
One fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter): "Aston Villa stole our badge and replaced us in the top 6 fairs."

Aston Villa changed their badge earlier this year after sporting a shield shaped crest for over 30 years.
But their new badge is a replica of one that they first introduced back in 1973.
Chelsea have been sporting the look on and off for over 70 years after they introduced it in 1953 before creating their current crest in 2006.
The West Londoners have spent over £1BILLION on new signings since owner Todd Boehly took over, but are yet to threaten the Champions League places they used to dominate before his arrival.
Villa's comparatively frugal approach has seen them get off to a flying start this season as well as looking all but confirmed to progress through their group in the Europa Conference League too.
