Ex-world champion boxer JUMPS ON Haaland and kisses him after invading pitch during Man City's win over Sheff Utd | The Sun

THE Manchester City fan who ran onto the pitch and jumped on Erling Haaland before kissing the striker has been revealed as a former world champion boxer.

Terry Flanagan, 34, is a retired British pro fighter and major City fan who held the WBO lightweight title between 2015 and 2017.

He lost just two of his 38 fights, recording 14 KOs in the process.

But Flanagan is unlikely to have celebrated any of his wins more than Haaland's timely strike.

The incident happened an hour into City's 2-1 win at Bramall Lane on Sunday.

Haaland had already missed a penalty against the Blades as City struggled to find a way through.

But the Norwegian hitman finally got off the mark with a well-taken close-range header following a cross from Jack Grealish.

And as he ran off to celebrate, Flanagan jumped from the stands onto the pitch.

He then launched himself onto Haaland's back as he attempted to join in City's celebrations.

The forward did not appear to be taken aback by the incident, despite Flanagan appearing to kiss his neck.

But teammate Bernardo Silva looked visibly shocked that Flanagan was able to cling onto Haaland for so long.

However, security soon rushed to the scene and tackled Flanagan before hauling him away from the field.

And fans quickly took to Twitter to discuss the incredible invasion.

One said: "That fan caught Haaland by surprise!"

Another noted: "We're lucky Haaland is a unit, if it was Bernardo he'd be paralysed."

One declared: "That must have been a memorable moment for him."

Another added: "That fan bet his crib on Haaland to score."

City ended up having a nervy end to their game when United equalised in the 85th minute through Jayden Bogle.

However, Rodri fired them back ahead moments later to seal all three points.
