Major fast-food chain with 1,000 branches suddenly closes shop as customers ask 'is this a joke?' | The Sun

A MAJOR fast-food chain with over 1,000 branches in the UK has suddenly and unexpectedly closed one of its shops.

The KFC in Broadstairs, Kent, has put up posters in its windows informing customers of the closure.

A KFC spokesperson said: "We’re disappointed that the doors to our Westwood Retail Park KFC are currently closed.

“We’ll keep the people of Broadstairs updated as to any restaurant developments in the local vicinity, as and when we have news to share.

“Our Ramsgate and Margate restaurants are just around the corner and we look forward to welcoming local fans for their next fried chicken fix.”

The news of the closure has shocked residents, with one questioning: "Is this a joke?", while another added: "Didn't see that coming," Kent Online reports.
