ERIK TEN HAG'S sacking would cost Manchester United a record £15million.
The Dutch boss is under intense scrutiny following the 3-0 hammering by local rivals Manchester City on Sunday – with even his own players left dumbfounded by some of his tactics.
Ten Hag's £9million-a-year contract at Old Trafford runs out in the summer of 2025.
But his future at the Theatre of Dreams has become uncertain after the struggling Red Devils' fifth defeat in ten league games on Sunday.
Since Sir Alex Ferguson's departure from Old Trafford in 2013 Man Utd have spent a staggering £38million on sacking managers.
The Glazers would need to pay up Ten Hag's guaranteed salary if they are to get rid of another boss – which is set to be around £15million, according to the Daily Mirror.
