Original Story: As part of Nike royalty, Drake has found a lane for himself within the Swoosh’s ever-expanding universe with his NOCTA line. The project has successfully introduced collections that revolve around themes personal to Drake while also presenting new silhouettes such as the Hot Step Air Terra that blend modernity and retro aesthetics. Following up on the Hot Step’s success, the NOCTA Glide is poised to take the helm as the division’s leading design.
Previously, the shoe was spotted via a courtside fit from Drake last year while also being flexed in red and “Triple White” colorways later in 2022. Now, an in-hand preview of the sneaker further reveals its details. Reinterpreting the classic Zoom Flight 95, the NOCTA Glide adds a fourth pod to the silhouette while restructuring its upper to utilize stronger linework. With this “Black/White” pair, the two hues go back and forth with the uppermost portion utilizing a black mesh with a two-tone weave resting below it. Rounding out the look, an icy translucent outsole further taps into the pair’s basketball inspiration.
At the time of writing, no release information pertaining to Drake’s latest NOCTA silhouette has been shared. Look for it to land on shelves later this year via Nike SNKRS and select retailers.
