Stunning Italian seaside city tipped as top 2024 holiday spot – thanks to £23 hotels, great beaches & cheap nightlife | The Sun
BRITS have got their eye on a small Italian city for their 2024 holidays, with stunning beaches and cheap hotels all part of its appeal.
It may still only be October, but people are already thinking about their summer getaways for 2024, with deals sometimes found around this time of year.
One place that a lot of people are considering is the city of Rimini, described as "a picturesque coastal town on Emilia Romagna’s Adriatic coast".
The resort has been named as one of Skyscanner’s top trending destinations for 2024.
According to the travel booking site, Rimini has seen a 362 per centincrease in online searches from last year, showing the growing interest in the city.
They claim it is "a must-visit destination" for those looking for an authentic Italian experience next year because of its rich history, stunning architecture, cuisine and culture.

They added: "Rimini offers an unforgettable journey that encapsulates the essence of Italy."
The main reason people visit Rimini is for its nine-mile stretch of shoreline, with the city the biggest beach resort on the Adriatic Sea.
TripAdvisor described the city as "a favoured Italian seaside holiday destination for Italians due to its impressive nine miles of beaches".
In addition to praising its shores, they said: "The old town, about a 15-minute walk inland, has many interesting sights, including the Arch of Augustus from 27 BC, and Tiberius Bridge from the early 1st century.

"Rimini also boasts many great restaurants and an energetic nightlife."
Of the beaches, the best is said to be Bagno Egisto, which has a five star overall rating on TripAdvisor from hundreds of reviews.
One visitor said: "First time in Rimini and I was pleasantly surprised, fabulous huge beach, with rows and rows of sun beds and not too close together, every thing is available close by.
"The beach itself is lovely and clean with proper walkways, excellent."
Another added: "If you want to relax and enjoy nightlife then this is the right place to go. Ideal for couples and families."
The nightlife in the area is also another big draw for tourists.
My Party Bible said: "Rimini's nightlife is closely intertwined with its stunning beaches. Along the coast, you'll find a variety of beach clubs and bars that offer a unique party experience day and night."
Despite that reputation, its prices remain fairly low, with cost of living database Numbeo revealing that beers can be bought from around £1.05.
Staying in the city isn't too expensive either, with hotels like the Royal Plaza available from £23 per night, for two people.
Ryanair flies directly to Rimini, with flights available from March next year, with flights from around £50 return.
It isn't isn't the only place where Brits are planning visits next year, with smaller, lesser-known places high on the agenda.
Skyscanner explained: "There’s a big rise in UK travellers planning trips to smaller, lesser-known cities, particularly in Europe.
"They’re searching for the Spanish favourite of Vigo, swapping the Amalfi Coast for the Adriatic’s Rimini and stepping into the storybook city of Bydgoszcz – the ‘Venice of Poland’."
