X Factor Ray Quinn branded unrecognisable as he ditches iconic look for wedding

Former X Factor star Ray Quinn looked totally unrecognisable as he tied the knot in a picturesque ceremony at a castle.

The star is best known to fans as the fresh-faced teenager who came second in the 2006 series of the TV talent show. But fast forward 17 years and the singer is all grown up.

Now 35, Ray recently exchanged vows with his partner Emily at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire and shared some snaps from their nuptials on social media. The pair looked smitten with each other as they said "I do" and fans flooded the comments section with remarks about how "gorgeous" they were.

But Ray looked totally different to how he did when he was singing on TV, having undergone something of a makeover. The singer's look has certainly changed over the years, particularly when it comes to his facial hair.

He is now sporting a moustache and a full beard that has made him look much more mature. And he now wears his dark hair slicked back, whereas he used to have it fluffed up in a little quiff when he was on stage performing for Simon Cowell and co.

"A far cry from tour days," one person commented after the star shared the wedding pictures, which were in OK! magazine. Others said Ray looked "amazing".

"You look fabulous together," one fans said of a shot of Ray and his bride with their arms around each other. Someone else joked that they couldn't help but see the "whinging little kid from Brookside", in a nod to Ray's childhood role as Anthony Murray in the soap.

Ray was a fan favourite when he was on X Factor, and made it all the way to the final before losing out to Leona Lewis. After the show he went on to have a music career and has also been on TV shows like Dancing On Ice and Hollyoaks.

The star was previously married to actress Emma and they have a son. He and Emily also have a baby girl together.
