AN EastEnders star has slammed the BBC's decision to discontinue the popular hospital drama after getting his big acting break in the soap.
Davood Ghadami has expressed that he is 'really saddened' about the cancellation of Doctors and reminisced on the time he starred on the show in a social media post.
Former Eastenders star Davood posted a picture of himself in the BBC soap back in 2013 when he played the role of Aran Chandar.
He captioned the Instagram post: "Me, 'Doctors', 2013. I'm really saddened to hear that the decision has been taken to stop making this show.
"I remember working with the best people and learning so much.
"It was a great environment for the newcomer and experienced alike.

Holby City's Rosie Marcel replied: "Such a shame. The bill, Holby, doctors. All incredible institutions and places to learn your craft. Era ending stuff."
Fans also agreed with the actor, as one penned in the comments section: "Wow! What a blow to team on the show, both cast and crew. I don't understand some of these decisions. Sad to hear this."
A second teased: "Thought this was a picture of you in the Sixth Form Centre at TBSHS. Jokes aside, sad to hear the show will be no more."

After leaving his Duncan Clark role after the final series of the ITV detective drama Taggart, the 41-year-old got his big break and appeared in the BBC soap opera Doctors in the recurring role of Aran Chandar from 2012 to 2013.
From 2013 to 2014, Davood appeared in the BBC medical drama Casualty as Ramin Tehrani but left in 2014 and picked up his role as Kush Kazemi in EastEnders.
He won the award for Best Newcomer at the TV Choice Awards for his portrayal of Kush and was nominated for Best Newcomer and Best Actor at the British Soap Awards.
He has also starred in Life's Too Short, Law & Order, Skins Redux, Doctor Who, Top Boy, Fast Freddie, Silent Witness, Criminal Justice and Spooks.
In August 2017, It was announced that he would be a contestant on the fifteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing, where he made it to the quarter-finals.
In April 2021, after he was killed off from his role as Kush in EastEnders, it was announced that Davood had joined the BBC medical drama Holby City cast as Eli Ebrahimi.
