Emmerdale fans ‘rumble’ true identity of necklace thief after death tragedy
Emmerdale fans were convinced foul play was afoot on Tuesday’s visit to the village, when former thief Victor Anderson was accused of stealing Manpreet’s necklace.
As regular viewers will know, Manpreet and Jai Sharma were warring over the precious family heirloom in the wake of Rishi’s death – with Manpreet finally having agreed to return the item to Jai after sleeping on it.
However, when she went to return the item it was found to be missing, and later was discovered in Victor’s pocket, just months after he was released from prison on probation after serving time for theft.
Immediately, Manpreet and Jai presumed the worst and later phoned the police to report the theft, but fans at home weren’t convinced Victor could be the culprit, with many fans pointing the finger at Victor’s son Charles Anderson instead.
The mild mannered vicar had been keen to force Victor from his life in recent weeks after discovering his mother Claudette was slowly getting closer to him again, but after his attempts to urge him to leave fell on deaf ears, fans are convinced that he could have resorted to more severe methods to remove him from their lives and once and for all.
“Oh Charles, I think you have some explaining to do. Then again I think it's time Victor slinged his hook, with his manipulated ways,” wrote one fan.
A second agreed adding: “I don't know if Victor has been set up or not, but I'd have set him up just to get rid of him.”
Before a third fan commented: “I wouldn't put it past him to steal any damn thing but it looks helluva careless of Victor not to have hidden Manpreet's necklace better…maybe Charles is framing Victor to get shot of him.”
Meanwhile a fourth fan echoed the sentiment as they suggested: “Charles fitting his old scumbag dad up for the necklace good man Charlie.”
Although it has yet to be confirmed if Charles was behind the theft, he appeared to get his wish to say goodbye to his father, after the reformed criminal was later found dead in the church!
The death comes just weeks after it was revealed that Victor was suffering from a brain aneurysm, with fans already having seen him suffer a number of dizzy spells.
Although the condition was effectively a ticking time bomb, could the stress of being accused have caused it to rupture, and if so, was Charles responsible for his father’s unfortunate death?
“OMG HE REALLY WAS ILL????!!!! If Charles set him up, he is gonna have to live with that guilt for life,” wrote one fan.
“Victor is dead…Whoever planted that necklace on him will not be able to live with themselves,” wrote another.
Emmerdale continues weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV and ITVX
