Lewis Capaldi hailed as a hero as he rushes to help collapsed woman on Hampstead Heath | The Sun
LEWIS Capaldi became a have-a-go hero after he rushed to the aid of an elderly woman collapsed in north London.
The Someone You Loved singer was walking with pals in Hampstead Heath when they saw the OAP on the ground.
Onlookers told how Lewis, 27, rushed to help and dialled 999 and stayed with the woman until help arrived.
An ambulance came shortly afterwards and took the woman to hospital, with Lewis only taking his leave once he knew the woman was safe.
An onlooker said: “Lewis is not just a superstar but a superhero.
“We saw him helping an old woman who had collapsed on the ground and it turned out he’d rushed over to help when he saw her.

Lewis, who was diagnosed with Tourette’s last year, has been staying at his home in London for the past few months after taking a break from the music industry.
The singer announced he was stepping back from the spotlight after he was forced to cut short his performance at Glastonbury festival in June because he was struggling.

In a statement, Lewis said: “The fact that this probably won’t come as a surprise doesn’t make it any easier to write, but I’m very sorry to let you know I’m going to be taking a break from touring for the foreseeable future.
“I used to be able to enjoy every second of shows like his and I’d hoped three weeks away would sort me out.
“But the truth is I’m still learning to adjust to the impact of my Tourette’s.
“On Saturday it became obvious that I need to spend much more time getting my mental and physical health in order, so I can keep doing everything I love for a long time to come.”
During his set at Worthy Farm, Lewis struggled with his twitches on stage and told the crowd he was finding it hard.
He opened up about his health struggles in his Netflix documentary, Lewis Capaldi: How I Am Feeling Now, earlier this year.
In the film, Lewis, who comes from just outside of Glasgow, said he suffered from anxiety and hypochondria – a condition which sees sufferers worrying about their health.
Since he took a step back from public life Lewis has been seen out and about in London and in July was seen watching Charlton Athletic take on Aberdeen.
