Love Island legend hints at All Stars snub as he signs up for major charity gig

Love Island star "Messy" Mitch Taylor caused carnage during his time in the villa and he may not be returning for All Stars.

The gas engineer, who shot to fame on the ITV2 dating show in the summer, has signed up to play a charity football match next month, the same time the special edition of the popular programme is due to film in South Africa.

ITV confirmed earlier this month that Maya Jama will be welcoming a host of familiar faces back to the show in January but Sellebrity Soccer are advertising that Mitch will be on the pitch at Sandurst Town FC on Sunday, January 28 to play a match in aid of A New Hope for Ethan, an official fundraising group for The brain Tumour Research.

According to their website, where tickets are currently on sale for £12, the game is in aid of celebrating Ethan Treharne’s 20th birthday who sadly passed away in November 2021 aged 17 after being diagnosed with a brain tumour. Other celebrity players confirmed include Mitch's fellow Love Islanders Billy Brown and Ouzy See, EastEnders actors Matt Lapinskas and Dean Gaffney and TOWIE's Dan Osbourne.

A spokesperson told Daily Star: "The celebrities are always subject to commitments but all have confirmed for the match." During his time in the villa, Mitch coupled up with a number of the girls including Molly Marsh, Leah Taylor, Jess Harding, Abi Moores and Ella Barnes. He also became involved in a love triangle with Abi and Ella, but decided that he wanted to give things a go with Ella.

After returning to the UK he broke things off with Ella. Confirming his split from Ella, Mitch wrote at the time: "As you have most likely seen Ella's post sadly our relationship has come to an end. We had no intentions of ending but with our busy lives at the moment and living the other side of the country it made it extremely hard for it to work. I wish Ella nothing but the best as she is a lovely girl and deserves the world."

Former Love Island Faye Winter has reportedly signed up to appear on All Stars. The reality star appeared on series seven of Love Island in 2021 and finished in third place with Teddy Soares. The couple continued their relationship outside the villa but split earlier this year.

In a recent Instagram Q&A, Faye admitted her plans to find a new beau would be kicking off when the new year hits. She told her one million followers: "I said I wanted to focus on me for one year… 2nd of January is coming fast. Lock up your dads." She cheekily added: "Might return to cougarville so maybe your sons." ITV have confirmed that the official line-up will be released in due course.
