MAFS viewers baffled as they spot huge change to show format
Fans of E4's Married At First Sight UK have been left baffled after spotting a huge change to the show's normal format.
The latest episode on Thursday, 5 October saw two more couples meet for the very first time at the altar – but it appeared that a certain element of the show was missing.
One show fan took to Twitter to complain that the part where the contestants tell their unassuming families about their intention to go on a TV show and marry a complete stranger.
This is usually met by complete shock from the families – making for some interesting viewing for show fans.
One fan said: "Wait, why did they stop showing them telling their families about appearing on the show?#MAFSUK."
Meanwhile, on Thursday's show, MAFS fans were left less than impressed by newcomer JJ's underwhelming reaction to his new wife, Bianca.
During the wedding dinner, he told his friends that he 'wouldn't turn his head' if he spotted her in a nightclub.
Following that, when he and Bianca took a moment to sit outside, he failed to return the compliment when she said he was attractive.
He then told her that his ex-girlfriend, who he lived with before she cheated on him, is a model – leaving Bianca looking a little taken aback.
But fans were not happy with JJs revelation and his attitude, as many said that JJ was 'punching' with Bianca.
"JJ you’re punching when it comes to Bianca, I suggest you watch your mouth #MAFSUK," wrote one fan.
Another tweeted: "#MAFSUK JJ you complete A**E, have you looked in the mirror cause you are the one punching. Say you dated a Victoria Secret model, you need to wake up from your dream."
A third said: "There was absolutely no reason for JJ to mention his ex was a model like WTF #MAFSUK," as another wrote: "not him dropping the model bomb ??? get this boy off my screen #MAFSUK."
A fifth wrote: "You're more than good enough Bianca ! #MAFSUK," whilst someone else tweeted: "Bianca, u are TOO good for him darling. #MAFSUK."
The pair made their MAFS UK debut tonight alongside fellow intruder couple Jordan and Erica. After their daunting wedding day, they joined the rest of the original contestants at what proved to be a very eventful dinner.
“Entering that, I was not as nervous as I was on my wedding day but it wasn’t far behind,” fashion brand owner JJ, 30, said. “I was expecting it to be really nice but it was proper tense. It felt like it was about to explode at any moment. I think it hit me then that this wasn’t going to be plain sailing. This was going to be a proper roller-coaster.”
