The locals say a sad goodbye to Rovers as it prepares to shut for good in Corrie
Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) was given some devastating news about the Rovers Return pub in Coronation Street.
A few months ago, Jenny had to accept the fact she was struggling to keep the pub afloat due to rising costs. The establishment has now been taken over by a company called Waterford and tonight (September 26), the manager arrived to confirm the pub’s future.
Jenny, Glenda (Jodie Prenger), Sean (Antony Cotton) and Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) were furious to discover their contracts had been terminated and the pub would soon close for refurbishments.

Initially, Adam (Sam Robertson) stepped in to try and find a loophole, but he revealed to the staff that there’s actually nothing he can do.
While Adam searched through the contracts, Jenny and Stephen (Todd Boyce) were talking to DS Swain (Vicky Myers) about Teddy going missing.
Swain revealed that Leo and Teddy never arrived in Canada, leaving Stephen terrified that she is now a step closer to finding out that he murdered them both.
After Adam broke the news to the pub staff that they had to face facts, Daisy put forward a brilliant idea.
The team invited the locals and managed to completely fill the pub. Their aim was to drink the place dry – and everybody loved it.
While Asha (Tanisha Gorey) wound Steve (Simon Gregson) up about how much alcohol he had consumed in the boozer over the years, Rita (Barbara Knox) and Ken (William Ash) chatted about what the Rovers may look like in a few months time.
Will it get turned into flats?
Or will it remain a pub, but be completely different under new owners?
