OVER the years Ian Beale's lovelife has dominated the storylines on EastEnders.

The character – played by Adam Woodyatt – has now returned to Albert Square, with ex-wife Cindy Beale in tow, leaving fans wondering who else is the mother of his kids.

Who are the mothers of Ian Beale's children?

Cindy Beale

EastEnders' Cindy Beale is played by Michelle Collins and made a spectacular return to the soap in 2023.

The character first appeared on Albert Square in 1988, and immediately caught the attention of a young Ian Beale.

The couple got engaged in the late 80s, and they went on to have a child together called Steven.

However, it was revealed that Ian wasn't the baby's father – Simon Wicks was – after Cindy had an affair.

Whilst under the new identity of Rose Knight, she had daughters Anna and Gina Knight, with her new husband George Knight.

Meanwhile, Cindy's first son Steven Beale later died in 2017.

Laura Beale

Laura – played by Hannah Waterman – was Ian's nanny he brought in to look after his children after his second wife, Mel Healy left him.

They married in 2001 but, much like his first two marriages, they had a very rocky relationship.

Laura then died in 2004 after tripping down the stairs and breaking her neck.

Her only child Bobby then killed his half-sister Lucy Beale in 2014,  after he pushed her, causing her a catastrophic head injury.

After it was revealed in 2004 that actress Hannah – who's dad is the late Dennis Waterman – would be leaving the soap she released a statement.

She told the BBC: "I've enjoyed my last four years at EastEnders but the time has come for me and the character to move on.

"I'm looking forward to pastures new, and I certainly won't miss Laura's taste in wardrobe!"
