The BBC One soap is being replaced by something else, and the next episode will air another time.

While a week in Walford usually ends on a Thursday, the BBC has agreed to make an exception on this occasion, allowing soap fans to get their full fix.

EastEnders will also be airing on Friday, December 22, 2023.

The BBC One soap is leading up to a murder at the Queen, this Christmas Day.

Either Linda Carter, Stacey Slater, Kathy Beale, Sharon Watts, Denise Fox or Suki Panesar will be responsible for the killing of one Walford resident.

A variety of faces have been in the frame to meet a grisly end including Ravi Gulati, Jack Branning and Dean Wicks.

However, a chilling clue in the latest episode has led many to speculate that Nish Panesar will be the one to die – and it will be wife Suki and Stacey in the frame.

It came after Stacey furiously said: "I just want to do whatever is going to hurt [Nish] the most."
