A CREAMFIELDS security guard has died after suffering a serious head injury at the festival – with emotional tributes pouring in.

Michael, who was also known as Bruno, was airlifted to hospital on August 28 after he was injured while clearing the festival site in Cheshire.

His family named him and confirmed his death on September 15 – after he spent 18 days in hospital fighting for his life.

In a statement, they said: "As a family we regret to inform you that Michael AKA Bruno (security guard) passed away at 5am this morning (15/09/23) following a tragic set of unfortunate circumstances.

"We would like to thank everyone who has called, texted, and supported us over the last two weeks, it is appreciated.

"As you can imagine, this is a really difficult time for us all, so we would appreciate some privacy at this time."

Friends and family have paid tribute to Michael on a GoFundMe page reportedly set up by the family.

The page reads: "My name is Simon and Michael aka Bruno is my brother.

"Unfortunately on the 28th August my brother sustained a serious head injury whilst working at Creamfields.

"He was airlifted to hospital where he received round the clock treatment for 18 days.
