M25 crash: Van bursts into flames on motorway with massive traffic delays after road blocked – The Sun | The Sun

A HORRIFYING van fire on the M25 has broken out and sparked rush hour travel chaos this morning.

The vehicle erupted into a fireball between junction 5 and 6 on the M25, sending plumes of black smoke into the air as emergency services tackled the inferno.

At present, all traffic is being held clockwise on the motorway from junction 5 on the M26 and the A21 in Sevenoaks until the Clacket Lane services.

National Highways confirmed drivers were able to use lanes three and four from around 9.30am.

Meanwhile, lanes one and two remain closed as the incident is assessed and cleared from the motorway.

No injures were reported after two fire engines raced to the scene and extinguished the fire.
