I learned the best anti-aging secrets from my Slavic grandmother, your hair is your crown and people notice it first | The Sun

A WELLNESS practitioner has revealed her best anti-aging secrets.

She credited her Slavic grandmother for the useful tips, which paid special attention to hair.

From an early age, Eden (@gardensof_eden) was taught that her mane was her crown and people always noticed it first over anything else.

“Four secrets/tips from my Slavic grandmother," she said in her post.

“I want to discuss some of her best secrets when it comes to beauty and feminine energy and dating," said Eden.

Her grandmother was someone she looked up to and from whom she learned a lot.

“She’s always been the blueprint for what a really feminine and classy woman looks like, sounds like, and acts like," she wrote.

It must have worked, she figured: “My grandfather was so obsessed with her."

Composure at all times

First on her list was composure, maintain it at all times.

"Keep your composure always. It is extremely attractive when people can see that their words or opinions don’t really affect you that much," she explained.

“Men are so attracted to this when they see that you have your own world, that you have your own hobbies, that you are in charge of how you go about things."

Maintain your sense of self, she insisted, and don't be diverted.

“By keeping yourself calm and classy in the face of adversity, people will be so attracted to you and they will just want to be in your presence."

Overdress a little bit

Second on her list was always make an effort, it will be worth it.

"She taught me to overdress just a little bit on every occasion.

"I know that I always feel so good about myself when I know that I’m polished, that I’m put together."

Don't wait for that event to drag clothes from your wardrobe, said her grandmother.

"She taught me not to wait for these special occasions to wear special clothes.

“You have this infectious confidence when you dress up a little bit more."

Prioritize your hair

It is often said your hair is your crowning glory, and Slavic grandmother agreed with her third tip.

"Prioritize your hair. Your hair is your crown. Not only does it say a lot about you, but people tend to notice the hair on your head faster than your makeup or other things."

She had some advice on how your hair should look too: "Healthy and full is always the look we’re going after."

It was worth paying more attention to your mane for other reasons too, she explained: “Nurture your hair because she always swore that your energy was in your hair."

Lean on your female friends

The last of her tips was some wise advice: “Stop expecting your man, your partner, or your crush, to be your everything in life.

"Lean on the women in your life because they are the ones who are going to be there for you."

Commenters could see the wisdom in her grandmother's secrets.

“Elegance is simple. Always look polished. My mother said you never know who you’re going to run into," said this person.
