BBC Breakfast fans rip into Naga and Charlie's 'painfully awkward' interview – raging guest 'should have stayed in bed!' | The Sun
BBC Breakfast fans were left wishing they could hide under their duvets after a 'painfully awkward' interview today.
Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt were in the Salford studio presenting the latest news from the UK and around the world.
At one point, they were joined on the BBC Breakfast sofa by musician Mike Skinner.
The Streets star was on the show to talk about his latest project, but things immediately got off to an awkward start.
Before Naga, 48, could even introduce him, Mike pointed around the new BBC Breakfast studio and the picture of Salford Quay and said: "Can I just this is not a true representation of Salford, Manchester.
"I just walked in from Salford Manchester and it does not look like that."

Naga pointed out: "Well, it's raining this morning," and Charlie asked: "Are you talking about the weather?"
Mike then threw his hands up in the air and said: "Yes mum I made it."
Naga asked after an awkward pause: "Do you think your mum would be impressed?"
The 44-year-old replied: "My mum is eternally impressed."

Another added: "A brilliant opportunity to publicise his music wasted on a still asleep Mike Skinner #BBCBreakfast."
A third agreed, writing: "Well I don’t know what side of the bed Mike Skinner got out of this morning but man that was an awkward interview up there with the worst."
Meanwhile a fourth shared: "Guy from #TheStreets doing a really awkward interview with #BBCBreakfast."
